A double chance failed by Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao, and the season is over. After losing the first game of the series - the ACB Playoffs Quarterfinals - for 77-73 in Vitoria, the "men in black" were defeated also in Game 2, this time at home and in overtime. The final result was 88-90, but Gescrap was very near to win in the final minutes of the regular time. With 6" to the end, there were two free throws in the hands of Marko Banic on the +2 (81-79), but the Croatian player missed both of them, and Caja Laboral grabbed the chance to tie the game scoring the decisive two points with Sergi Vidal, who then led his teammates to win the game in the overtime scoring the two free throws of +2 at 5.1" to the end. Gescrap had the final shot to tie the game, but missed it again. And so the ACB Finalist of last year ended the season in the Quarterfinals, but after the disappointment, it will remain the satisfaction for the historical adventure run in the Euroleague. Game 2 of today was very balanced all along the 45', with very short advantages: 15-17 Caja Laboral, 38-35 Gescrap, 55-56 Caja Laboral, then 81-81 and finally 88-90 Caja Laboral. Roger Grimau tried to give all his experience to the team, scoring 8 points with 3 rebounds and 5 of personal ranking in 18' on the court. At the end, the "men in black" of Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao received the greeting of all the crowd of the Bilbao Arena. The "Efecto Miribilla" was not enough to win, but was still amazing as always.
