After being so near to conquest a very important win on the road in the first game of the ACB League, Bizkaia Bilbao suffered an unbelievable recovery by the home team of Lucentum Alicante and was defeated for 81-77. The disappointment was great for the team coached by Fotios Katsikaris, because with just two minutes to go in the fourth period, Bizkaia had eight points of advantage. It was a very strange game, with Lucentum Alicante starting very good in front of its 4.100 fans taking the lead for 23-18 in the first period and then controlling the second period allowing to recover just one point to the opponents for the halftime score of 43-39. Then, Roger Grimau's Bizkaia Bilbao completely reversed the game in the third period, winning the partial for 13-23 and taking the lead for 56-62. But Alicante didn't give up and won the game with a break of 25-15, for the final result of 81-77. It was a difficult game for Roger, who was fouled out after playing only 12' without taking any shot from the field, grabbing 1 rebound and giving 3 assists.
